Is there an ethical justification for experimenting on animals?
As humans, we can’t keep treating other species like this. it’s unethical. The excuse about providing treatments for humans is pretty pretty tiresome. In the past fellow human beings who they deemed to be animals or a less superior race/ethnicity/religion were being tested and experimented on by ‘scientists’ and ‘medics’, now it’s the animals and to a lesser degree humans in poverty stricken parts of the world.
Just because a primate doesn’t speak the same language as a human, what ethical justification is there to test on this specie who didn’t give their consent to be tested on?
In the past few weeks, The European Commission rejected a European Citizens’ Initiative to phase out animal testing by 2020. The Stop Vivisection petition was signed by 1.2 million European signatories and presented to the EU officials in May and rejected on June 4th 2015. (via VICE News)
It’s cruel, wicked, and something I can not turn a blind eye to, see for yourselves…
